Sudoku Mori has no ads, no in-app purchases, and doesn't need the internet to play. No account, no sign-up, no server holding your progress. You open it, play, and close it.

Why it matters
What advertising costs a puzzle.
Every sudoku app gets paid for somehow: by the players, or by advertisers. Both can make a good game, but only one has a reason to interrupt you, and it usually happens right when you're deep in a puzzle.
Ads break your focus
Sudoku is one long train of thought. A banner covers the grid, a video plays over the board, and by the time the ad is gone, so is your chain of logic.
Hints behind a video
In an ad-funded game, the moment you need a hint is the moment your attention is worth the most, so that's where the ad goes. Make a hint cost thirty seconds of video and people stop asking for one.
Timers built to pull you back
Countdowns and energy meters are there to get you back tomorrow. They do nothing for the puzzle, and they turn a relaxing ten minutes into a chore.
Paywalls you find later
A free tier with ads usually hides a paid tier behind it, and it's rarely clear what you're missing. One version with everything in it keeps things simple.

There's nothing to unlock, because there's nothing to buy. The eight lessons, the daily puzzle, both modes and every difficulty are all in the app you download.

What offline actually means here.
- Nothing loads from the internet. Puzzles are generated on your device, so starting a game never waits on the network and can't fail on bad signal.
- No downloads mid-game. No puzzle packs, no daily download, no ad SDK waiting to load.
- The one network feature is optional. Backup & iCloud syncs your progress through your own private iCloud if you turn it on. It's off by default, and you don't lose anything without it.
- No account, ever. There's no login, so a server outage can't lock you out.
So there are no loading screens, no "connect to continue", and no reason to ask for a subscription. It also means the app collects nothing about you, because there's nowhere for it to go. The privacy policy says the same thing in full.

Ads, offline play and accounts.
Is there a sudoku app with no ads?
Yes. Sudoku Mori has no ads of any kind: no banners, no pop-ups, no videos, and no "watch this to get a hint". There's nothing to buy in it either, so there's no screen trying to sell you something.
Can you play sudoku offline?
Yes. Sudoku Mori doesn't need a connection at all. Puzzles, lessons, progress and streaks all live on your device, so it plays the same on a plane, on the subway or in Airplane Mode.
What's the catch?
There isn't one. There's no "free tier" either. The game is free and you get all of it: every difficulty, the daily puzzle, all eight technique lessons and the iPad layout.
Does an offline game need an account?
This one doesn't. No sign-up, no login, no email address, no profile. Open the app and start a puzzle.
How does progress survive without a server?
It's saved on your device. Turn on Backup & iCloud in Settings → Your data and it also syncs through your own private iCloud, which I can't see. The same screen can export a backup file for you to keep.
Are there ads in the free version only?
There's only one version, and it has no ads. There's no "remove ads" purchase because there's nothing to remove.
Does it still work with no connection after the first launch?
Yes. The puzzles are generated on your device and nothing downloads while you play, so the first launch and the hundredth work the same with or without a connection.
